Have you ever noticed how folk will choose what they are going to spend big dollars for and what they will go cheap on? We’re all different in what we are going to buy and what we’re not. I have a tendency to be this way with food store items. I don’t care what name the item is so long as it’s a good value. I haven’t ever been so blown away by one vendor or another that i need to buy one over another.
There are more things that I have tried to save on, but have revealed that the cheapest isn’t always the best. We were attempting to find better rates on our car insurance. We felt the amount we were paying was a little high. So we found some car insurance reviews online, which led us to a great auto insurance quote. The discount were important. We were careful to enter all the data requested on the forms for the quote so we would maintain the same coverage. So we decied to buy car insurance online. Even though the insurance company did not need to send it out before us signing up, we did get a full copy of the general policy. There were some things that we were giving up going with the cheap car insurance, but it looked worth it. The main thing we were letting go of was a free loaner automobile in case our vehicle was in for repairs. We reasoned that we have an additional auto that we use for personal reasons, so we would be able to use that one if one of the autos we use daily is in the repair shop.
We were all set to sign for the cheap car insurance when we were made contact with by the company and were told that they rate would be higher than we were originally quoted. The initial quote was for the 3 automobiles that we needed to insure, however our driving history was not taken into account. I had received a speeding citation thirty-two months prior to the quote and my husband had received on 8 months prior to the quote. The speeding tickets remain on your record for three years and affected the premium by over 600 greenbacks a year. 2 things really shocked me. One was the fact that the two tickets had that large of an affect and 2 that the company would send out papers to sign us up and give us a quote before having our driving history in front of them. This experience taught us to ask plenty more questions when being given a quote. The main question worth asking is if the insurance quote is in particular for your driving history and your automobiles or if is a general listing based on the car only.
